On Sunday 3rd of May 1925, in the first game ever between the two clubs, IFK Göteborg visited IFK Skövde for a friendly game at Södermalms Idrottsplats. The game, which turned out to be a goalscoring fest, was refereed by Sam Hessel and ended in a walkover victory for IFK Göteborg: 19-1, after a half time lead of 8-0.
