Overview
Arne Gustav Julius Nyberg was born on 20 June 1913 in Säffle. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1932/33 season. He made his competitive debut on 31 July 1932 against IFK Eskilstuna in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 4–0.
He spent 18 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 469 appearances and scoring 289 goals. Of those 469 appearances, 279 came in Allsvenskan.
Nyberg won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1934-35 and 1941-42. Nyberg made 31 senior international appearances for Sweden, scoring 18 goals.
Nyberg died on 12 August 1970, aged 57.
