Biography

Gösta Evert Bergman was born on December 2, 1909 in Göteborg and made his IFK Göteborg debut in the 1927/28 season, which was also the debut season of team mate Ernst Andersson. Bergman was part of IFK Göteborg's youth program before making his debute with the first team, and is as a result of that regarded by the club as a home-grown player. At 18 years, 4 months and 26 days, on April 29, 1928, he took part his first competetive game against IF Elfsborg in an Allsvenskan game that ended 0–1. He spent one season with the IFK Göteborgs first team, and during his career he played in 3 first team games and scored 2 goals. Out of these 3 first team games, 1 were Allsvenskan games.. Bergman passed away in 1975, 66 years old.
