Gustaf Daniel Sandberg was born on February 29, 1888 in Göteborg and made his IFK Göteborg debut in the 1910 season, which was also the debut season of team mate Karl Olsson. At 22 years, 6 months and 3 days, on September 4, 1910, he took part his first competetive game against Helsingborgs IF in a Svenska mästerskapet game that ended 6–1. He spent one season with the IFK Göteborgs first team, and during his career he played in 3 first team games. Sandberg won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1910. In total, Sandberg has represented his country at the highest level on 4 occasions. Sandberg passed away in 1956, 67 years old.
