Overview
Stig Håkan Mild was born on 14 June 1971 in Trollhättan. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1988 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 26 July 1989 against Halmstads BK in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 1–3.
He spent 16 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 459 appearances and scoring 55 goals. Of those 459 appearances, 226 came in Allsvenskan.
Mild won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995 and 1996. He was part of an IFK Göteborg Swedish Cup-winning side in 1991. He was named IFK Göteborg's Archangel of the Year in 1999. In 1994, he won World Cup bronze with the national team. Mild made 74 senior international appearances for Sweden, scoring 8 goals.
