Lars Ingemar Jangblad was born on 11 January 1931 in Göteborg. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1949/50 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 2 July 1950 against Helsingborgs IF in the Swedish Cup, a match that finished 1–6.
