Overview

Lennart Georg Nilsson was born on 19 April 1937 in Göteborg. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1954/55 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 23 September 1956 against Djurgårdens IF in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 1–4.

He spent 11 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 333 appearances. Of those 333 appearances, 165 came in Allsvenskan.

Nilsson won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1957-58. Nilsson made 1 senior international appearance for Sweden.

Nilsson died on 5 January 2001, aged 63.
