Biography

Nils Holger Wenzel was born on March 30, 1914 in Göteborg and made his IFK Göteborg debut in the 1934/35 season. Wenzel was part of IFK Göteborg's youth program before making his debute with the first team, and is as a result of that regarded by the club as a home-grown player. At 23 years, 6 months and 18 days, on October 17, 1937, he took part his first competetive game against IF Elfsborg in an Allsvenskan game that ended 0–3. He spent two seasons with the IFK Göteborgs first team, and during his career he played in 3 first team games. Out of these 3 first team games, 1 were Allsvenskan games.. Wenzel passed away in 1985, 70 years old.
