Overview

Erik Per Olof Hansson was born on 24 March 1932 in Göteborg. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1952/53 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 10 May 1953 against Djurgårdens IF in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 0–4.

He spent 8 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 209 appearances and scoring 25 goals. Of those 209 appearances, 109 came in Allsvenskan.

Hansson won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1957-58.
