Overview
Thomas Ravelli was born on 13 August 1959 in Vimmerby. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1989 season. He made his competitive debut on 9 April 1989 against IK Brage in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 2–0.
He spent 10 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 398 appearances. Of those 398 appearances, 191 came in Allsvenskan.
Ravelli won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996. He was part of an IFK Göteborg Swedish Cup-winning side in 1991. He was named IFK Göteborg's Archangel of the Year in 1991. In 1994, he won World Cup bronze with the national team. Ravelli made 143 senior international appearances for Sweden.
