Overview

Gunnar Henry Löfgren was born on 30 November 1910 in Göteborg. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1931/32 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 13 May 1932 against Örgryte IS in Allsvenskan, a match that finished 1–4.

He spent 8 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 187 appearances and scoring 19 goals. Of those 187 appearances, 121 came in Allsvenskan.

Löfgren won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1934-35. Löfgren made 5 senior international appearances for Sweden.

Löfgren died on 11 March 2012, aged 101.
