Overview
Nils Erik Mattias Bjärsmyr was born on 3 January 1986 in Hestra. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 2005 season. He made his competitive debut on 5 May 2005 against Skellefteå AIK in the Swedish Cup, a match that finished 11–2.
He spent 14 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 464 appearances and scoring 16 goals. Of those 464 appearances, 288 came in Allsvenskan.
Bjärsmyr won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 2007. He was part of an IFK Göteborg Swedish Cup-winning side in 2008, 2012/13, 2014/15 and 2019/20. He was named IFK Göteborg's Archangel of the Year in 2020. Bjärsmyr made 3 senior international appearances for Sweden.
