Overview

Rolf Anders Vilhelm Borssén was born on 22 October 1895 in Kinna. His IFK Göteborg first-team career began in the 1914 season. He came through IFK Göteborg's youth system before the senior debut and is regarded by the club as a home-grown player. He made his competitive debut on 18 October 1914 against IFK Malmö in Kamrat Championship, a match that finished 3–1.

He spent 8 seasons with IFK Göteborg's first team and made 76 appearances and scoring 5 goals.

Borssén won the Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1918. Borssén made 1 senior international appearance for Sweden.

Borssén died on 21 November 1972, aged 77.

For seasons before 1922, surviving participation records are not always complete. Match and goal totals from that period should therefore be read as the best available documented record.
