Summary
On Saturday 17th of July 1943, in the first game ever between the two clubs, IFK Göteborg visited Varbergskomb. for a friendly game, in front of 1 100 in attendance at Påskbergsvallen. The game, which turned out to be a goalscoring fest, ended in a walkover victory for IFK Göteborg: 12-0, after a half time lead of 2-0. IFK Göteborg's goals scored by Åke Kristiansson (5 goals), Folke Johansson (2 goals), Holger Bennhov (Bengtsson), Erik Bergqvist, Gunnar Gren, Leif Larsson and Arne Nyberg.
